Building/structure dates:
1886 initial construction
Significance: It is an outstanding example of stone architecture found in the Pinon Canyon area of Las Animas County. The ranch consists of 5 structures: 2 residences, 1 of which was reused as a barn; a wagon shed; a barn; and the ruins of a 5th building. These sandstone structures are distinctive for the massive size and patterning of the stones incorporated in their walls. The size of the 1 1/2 barns is also notable...
